    What is Morton's Toe?

    Hello,

Morton's toe is a disorder of the foot in which the second toe is longer than the big toe. Also commonly called Morton's Foot, this disorder can cause pain and discomfort, and can lead to other foot problems. Fortunately, Morton's toe can often be treated with orthotics, devices such as shoe inserts which give the foot support. Choosing the right shoes can also help alleviate the pain associated with Morton's toe, and can actually help correct the problem.

    Thanks,

    Re: What is Morton's Toe?

    Hello..,
Morton's toeis the common term for the condition of a shortened first metatarsal in relation to the second metatarsal. It is a type of brachymetatarsia.[1] This promotes an anterior position of the second metatarsal-phalangeal (MTP) joint in relation to the hallux (big toe). The condition may or may not result in the second toe (second from innermost) extending farther than the hallux if the second toe is of equal length to the big toe.
    thank you..,
